Jenna Hull owns and manages vacation rentals in her hometown of Cunningham Falls, Montana. She’s just completed the construction of her most exhausting project, the one she’s put her heart and soul into. The inviting, opulent Snow Wolf Cottages are the first ski in/ski out tree houses in the world.
Her biggest dream is about to come true, and she can’t let anything distract her.
Christian Wolfe is Hollywood’s it actor. If the magazines are to be believed, he’s the sexiest man on earth. He’s preparing for the biggest movie role of his life, and his agent has booked him in a hot new ski lodge in Montana, tucked away from crazy fans. He can’t wait for the break.
But what Christian isn’t prepared for is Jenna. With a face that could easily co-star with him in a movie and her ambition to put her stamp on Cunningham Falls, he can’t stay away. But even more intriguing than her beauty is the fact that she’s not at all impressed with his celebrity status, only turned on by the man behind the fame.
The love they’ve found is perfect—but time is running out before real life intrudes. Can they survive with both their dreams—and hearts—intact?
I have read every single book by Kristin Proby, I might be unhealthy obsessed with her books, I’ve re-read the With Me in Seattle books at least once a year. All. Of. Them. I’m obsessed. The worlds she creates are ones I want to live in. Her characters are fierce, flawed and heartwarming. So when I got the chance to read Kissing Jenna early I jumped at the chance. I knew I loved the Big Sky series, and I loved Jenna’s character in Charming Hannah so I knew her book would be one of my favorites. And I was right.
Jenna is a hardheaded business woman, she knows what she wants and will do everything in her power to get to her goal. Christian is a worshiped actor who has a slew of fans that seem to pop up wherever he goes. So when he gets the chance to go to a Montana Mountains resort for a new role he jumps at the chance to be somewhere where he doesn’t have to be the actor, but just a normal guy. What he doesn’t expect is to meet and fall for Jenna. Their chemistry is instant and they fall hard and fast. But Hollywood doesn’t stray away for long, and before Jenna knows it, reality sets in.
I loved Christian’s sweet sensitive heart in contrast to Jenna’s hard, sarcastic exterior. They complimented each other fantastically and it didn’t hurt that their chemistry leaped off the page. As per all Kristen Proby books, there are some pretty steamy love scenes (which I always love) but there is also ALWAYS strong female friendships, and strong family bonds. This is a staple for Kristen and I love it. Not only is she showcasing these two characters falling in love, but she also shows what its like to be part of a family, whether that be blood or chosen.
We get a cameo from some Seattle characters which was a great surprise and one I wholeheartedly think should happen more often 😉 But what I loved the most was Jenna and Christian. They stole the show and I was rooting for them from the beginning. Their story is a sweet and simple one, with a hint of drama and some tears. But in the end I sigh happily because these characters deserve to be together.
Kissing Jenna was an amazing read. I read it in two days, and that’s only because I had to work in between. I thought about calling in sick just so I could finish it in one night. But I think my boss would frown upon that. Maybe next time 🙂
Please read this book. It will put a smile on your face and warm your heart. Her love stories are ones every girl wishes she gets in real life. Even though I got my fairy tale ending a long time ago, I still love living in the heads of her characters. They are worth every lost minute of sleep. Promise.
